The Road to Jerusalem is a ministry of reconciliation. We do this through a variety of demonstrations that are revolved around appointed times/biblical feasts. We also host conferences and workshops that provide education, creative expression, and various presentations of topics related to unity within the various groups of Christianity and Messianic Judaism.

Petra Scott

PRESIDENT & CEO

Petra Scott embraced her call to exposing the body of believers to the significance of One New Humanity in 2004. She experienced a deep revelation of the significance of the Jewish Culture of Jesus and how understanding this can enhance the faith expression of believers. She believes that demonstrations between Jews & Gentiles can change homes, communities , and the WORLD.

Petra has experience in both the private and public sectors as a teacher, life coach, pastor, and consultant. She desires to see the philanthropic side of TRTJ flourish too something that will impact the kingdom. In addition to her passion for ministry Petra is a wife and mom, she has three children Darius, Devorah, and Isaac. She is the author of “Intimacy: Unlearning Religion , Embracing God.”

Garry Scott

VP of Community Engagement

GarryScott has a passion and call to those who have been forgotten in society. He knows what its like to grow up in poverty and become a causality of the streets. Garry has devoted his life to helping those who are hard to reach and outcasted. In addition to his work with The Road to Jerusalem he works as a Northside Community Center Coordinator in Jacksonville,FL. His desire is to see lives transformed and violence cease at the Lords Table.

Music Director

Rachel has a passion to see Worship push forward the mission and purpose of TRTJ. In 2009, Rachel formed “Rachel Washington and OneBody Band”, a diverse praise and worship team that has ministered across the country and has been the praise and worship team for Promise Keepers conferences since the 2010 season. OneBody recorded and released their first EP in 2012. Rachel wrote and co-produced the entire album.

Rachel is also a National recording artist and the Worship Director and Executive Pastor for Family Life Church in Minneapolis, MN.

FOUNDER

Coach Mac is the former football Coach of the University of Colorado Boulder. He coached for 13 seasons and won three consecutive Big Eight Conference Titles and in 1990 won a National Champions. In 2013 Coach Mac was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. In 1990 Coach founded Promise Keepers. Promise Keepers led thousands of men to the Lord and impacted Christianity. The Lord gave Coach the vision for The Road to Jerusalem in 2003 and together he and Dr. Washington began to pioneer the ministry. He is the author of five books: From Ashes to Glory (1995), Sold Out (1997), Sold Out Two-Gether (1999), co-authored with Lyndi McCartney, Blind Spots (2003), and Two Minute Warning (2009) with Aaron Fruh. McCartney has been honored with a number of additional personal awards including: the Impact America Award from Point Loma in 1995, the Spectrum Award from Sports Spectrum magazine in 1995, ABC News Person of the Week on February 16, 1996, Layperson of the Year from the National Association of Evangelicals in 1996, the Fire-Setters Award from Revival Fires Ministries in 1997, the Evangelist Philip Award from the National Association of United Methodist Evangelists in 1999, and the Humanitarian of the Year from the Syl Morgan Smith Colorado Gospel Music Academy in 1999. Coach Mac and his Wife Lyndi had four children, Mike, Mark, Tom, Kristy and many amazing grandchildren.

Dr. Raleigh Washington

FOUNDER

Dr. Raleigh Washington is pastor emeritus of Chicago’s Rock of Our Salvation Evangelical Free Church, a multi-racial urban church that he founded and led. He joined Promise Keepers as vice president of reconciliation, retired as president/CEO, and currently is president emeritus. He and Glen Kehrein co-authored Breaking Down Walls: A Model of Reconciliation in an Age of Racial Strife, the 1994 Gold Medallion winner of the Christian Booksellers Association.

Attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army, Dr. Washington earned the Bronze Star for meritorious service in Vietnam. Post-military, at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (now Trinity International University), he earned his Master of Divinity. Later, on the staff of Trinity International University, he developed and led the school’s Master of Arts in Urban Ministries. He holds honorary doctorates from Trinity, Westminster College, and Azusa Pacific University. He is still on numerous ministry boards, he also speaks at conferences and to universities, congregations, and corporations.

Westminster College awarded Dr. Washington its third Doctor of Peacemaking after Mother Teresa and Bishop Desmond Tutu.
