Today is Purim, and during Purim, we celebrate and acknowledge God’s faithfulness to the Jewish people. Our Jewish brothers and sisters have endured countless accounts of anti-Semitism throughout history, yet the Lord has never left or forsaken His people. The Road to Jerusalem is honored to stand with our Jewish brothers and sisters’ arm in arm through it all.
During Purim, we read the story of Esther where we see Haman try to eradicate and wipe out Esther’s people, and what I love most about the book of Esther is that God is clearly at work even though there are times where it seems as if all hope is lost. Purim reminds us of the apostle Paul’s words in Romans 8:28 “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” We are all facing some form of “Haman” in our lives. It could be mental battles, financial struggles, physical battles, or deep pain in our souls. No matter what you are facing and how difficult the battle may be, be encouraged today and know that God is working things together for your good. We must remain faithful because he is a father who will not abandon or forsake his children.
I leave you with this verse. 1 Corinthians 15:58 “Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be firm, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
Never give up because even the hardships are FOR YOUR GOOD!
